Character Synopsis

Frank: -

The protagonist. He is in his mid 40s. He used to be a successful boxer during his younger years. However as he got older he could no longer compete with younger, fitter opponents. He reluctantly retired at the age of 31.

Shortly after he became a recluse as he could not forget his successful career. He was a spendthrift and was on the verge of bankruptcy. He became addicted to gambling in order to make enough money. He became quite good, however a string of loosing streaks caused Frank to turn to drink. He became stuck in a vicious cycle that repeated itself over and over until gambling was his entertainment and drink was his lover.

A few lonely years pasted until he got involved in a fight with a man who happened to be working for the mafia. Frank was beaten, however, the man struck a deal with Frank. If he were prepared to work for the Mob as a hit man, he would be allowed to live. He would also be paid for his efforts. Thus Frank became a hit man, but not a very good one. He became stuck in this so-called “profession” and it reminded him of his gambling years. However it was through the mob that he met a beautiful blonde woman. Her name was Rachel Anderson. They became good friends, and love soon followed. Their love blossomed. Rachel was the one thing that kept him going. Frank knew that this woman was his chance to settle down and lead a normal life in peace. The only problem was getting out of the business he had trapped himself in.
